2018 has been quite wedding year within the Indian showbiz. A day after Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone announced their wedding date, comedian Kapil Sharma also confirmed that he is tying the knot together with his longtime girlfriend Ginni Chatrath in December, this year.
Kapil and Ginni can take wedding vows on December 12 in Jalandhar and can later host a reception in an urban center for Kapil's industry friends on December 14.
"We wanted to keep it a low key. however, Ginni is the only daughter in her family. Her folks wished the marriage to air a lavish scale. and that I completely understand their sentiments. My mother also desires the marriage to be lavish," Kapil confirmed the news to IANS.
Kapil said though the marriage date was fixed long back, he determined to stay mum because of the promotions of his maiden production 'Son Of Manjeet Singh'. "For the past few weeks, I have been promoting my Punjabi film. I did not wish to speak regarding the marriage throughout the promotions, though the media repeatedly kept asking," he said.
“While December 12 is that the wedding date, for now, Kapil and his family want to zero in on the most auspicious date. The family has already started prepping up for the big fat Punjabi wedding which can happen in his hometown. Kapil is in Mumbai, however, has been keeping to touch and personally look into the preparations. His show is also supposed to go on floors soon.
