defeated 2–1 by New Zealand in the T20 International Series played in
2018-2019. With this, India has won the bilateral T20 International Series on
New Zealand soil for the first time in 11 years.

For New Zealand, captain Kane Williamson
smashed 95 runs, but he could not win. New Zealand were to score 9 runs in the
last over to win, but Mohammed Shami conceded only 8 runs. He dismissed Ross
Taylor on the last ball to tie the match. Martin Guptill was out for 31 runs.
He shared a 47-run partnership for the first wicket with Colin Munro. Guptill
was dismissed by Shardul. Jadeja stumps Munro (14) at the hands of Rahul.
Mitchell Santner (9) was bowled by Chahal.
With the help of Rohit Sharma's
40-ball 65, India scored 179 for five in the third T20 cricket match against
New Zealand. Rohit hit 6 fours and 3 sixes in his aggressive innings. He added
87 runs for the first wicket with KL Rahul (27 off 19 balls).
