US basketball legend Kobe Bryant has died during a helicopter crash in
California, sparking an outpouring of grief from fans round the world.
Bryant, 41, and his daughter Gianna, 13, were among the nine killed when
the aircraft decreased in Calabasas.
Bryant, a five-time NBA champion, played for the LA Lakers throughout his
career and is taken into account one among the best players within the game's
history.
Tributes from celebrities, politicians and fellow sports stars are
pouring in, many expressing shock at his overtime . Moments of silence are
observed at basketball games across the US.
Fans gathered at a makeshift memorial for Bryant ahead of the Staples Center
- where the Lakers play - on Sunday, laying flowers and basketballs in memory
of the star.
Bryant was also remembered at the Grammy Awards which were held at an
equivalent venue on Sunday evening.
Sharing a photograph of Bryant on Instagram, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson
wrote: "Love is forever."
Famous Kim Kardashian wrote on Twitter: "My heart is so heavy. nobody should ever experience what the families involved are browsing . This has affected us all such a lot but I cannot begin to imagine what Vanessa is feeling losing her husband and her daughter . I cry just brooding about it. i'm praying for the Kobe Bryant family, the Altobelli family and therefore the families of all who perished during this unthinkable tragedy. Rest In Peace Legend."
