Narrating her account in detail, Singh mentioned that she was asked to off her saree get on high of her hero and rub herself and the way the lady producer created things worse for her. Not only that, however, she also stated Nawazuddin Siddiqui didn't take a stand once she was being harassed.
She said, "I pleaded that this wasn't in my comfort zone. I said I used to be sporting only an underneath the saree. The director told me to not fuss and simply do what was needed. I used to be intimidated cowed and vulnerable into doing it. Some crew members were mortified. But, Nawaz simply Sabbatum there awaiting the storm to blow over."
Later, director Kushal Nandy paid her visit and only asked if she is doing the scene. "He didn’t request from me if I was okay. He simply asked, are you doing the scene? I said no. He left. Nawaz could’ve taken a stand against my harassment. He didn’t. Empowered men within the film industry don't take a stand, the harassers feel encouraged," she said. Chitrangda, Who was later replaced by Bidita Bag within the film, also questioned on, however, will men take their voices of dissent once another actress walks right into a task once one actress says she’s been harassment.
Only if our male actors had taken the baby step towards protecting the actresses within the industry, had we not got to hear such harrowing stories today. currently, it remains to be seen what Nawazuddin Siddiqui must say on this matter.
